Horror Film Historian & Consultant
Paul is the Misty Moon horror and film expert. A freelance journalist, Paul contributes film reviews, articles and interviews to various horror / film related websites.
Paul’s love of all things horror-related can be traced back to childhood Christmases watching the green-faced Wicked Witch of the West from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ on the tele with a mixture of fear and fascination. His subsequent craving for horror films led him to the meagre late-night offerings of terrestrial television during the 1970’s. Then in 1982 when he was 13 years old he finally managed to get into his first horror film at the ABC Edgware Road cinema where he happily spent most of his free time that year gorging himself on every horror film shown there. It was during that formative year that he saw a double-bill which cemented his love for the genre forever. The double bill was ‘Friday the 13th’ & ‘Friday the 13th part 2’.
Ironically it was ‘Friday the 13th’ which brought Paul to Misty Moon when, whilst trawling through a ‘Friday the 13th’ franchise-related website back in 2011, he noticed a posting for an art exhibition at a certain gallery in South London with a certain star of a certain horror film he’d first seen double-billed back in 1982. The rest, as they say, is history…
